INTERNET: health care over the internet
The provision of health care over the internet is a rapidly evolving and potentially beneficial means of delivering treatment otherwise unsought or unobtainable. Internet interventions and regulations are tipically behavioral treatments operationalized and transformed for the web delivery with the goal of symptom improvement. The literature on the utility of Internet interventions is limited, and there are fewer outcome study findings. There should be a clear overview how Internet interventions and preventions are used in clinical practice; what are future directions and implications of this kind of use. It's obvious that Internet interventions will not replace face-2-face care and that's why is very doubtful that this kind of intervention will gain and get some importance as a powerful component of successful psychobehavioral treatment.
I find this topic very interesting to discuss...
